Critically Acclaimed Singer-Songwriter Reb Fountain Releases Live Recorded Album Water for Gasoline
Blending old-school folk, country, blues, and rock in the tradition of legends like Bob Dylan, Water for Gasoline captures an urgent, unvarnished energy. Recorded live in a single take at Fountain’s home garage studio with the ink still fresh on the page, the record strips back production polish to bring listeners right into the room with the band.
The album’s title track serves as its thematic anchor, channeling a seeker’s anti-hero journey through an oil-dripping, volatile world (“I am the water I am the gasoline”). Fountain crafted the collection as a direct, grounded response to turbulent modern times, drawing deeply from the foundational American roots music she grew up on.
Aotearoa Tour Announced for October
Built specifically for the stage, Water for Gasoline will be brought to life across Aotearoa, New Zealand this October. Fountain and her band are set to tour intimate rock and roll venues nationwide, bringing an up-close, high-energy live experience to local audiences.
