Critically Acclaimed Artist Reb Fountain claims her third #1 on the Aotearoa Top 20 Albums Chart!
Aotearoa folk-rock powerhouse Reb Fountain has solidified her position atop New Zealand’s music scene as her new record, Water for Gasoline, debuted at #1 on the Official Aotearoa Albums Chart (and locked down #9 on the overall Top 40 Albums Chart).
The album’s release sparked a massive wave across the Hot 20 Aotearoa Singles Chart, with multiple standout tracks, including the sweeping title track Water for Gasoline, the introspective Beautiful Lie, and Swarm, all crashing into the local singles charts.
Fountain recorded her new album this year straight from her garage studio, capturing most tracks live in a single take. Built on instinct and spontaneous room energy, the songs took shape naturally during the sessions. Together with longtime collaborators Dave Khan, Simon Gooding, and Earl Robertson, it marks her most raw and intuitive record to date.
Reb is taking her album and and on the road this October, playing across 10 dates throughout New Zealand.
