We at DRM value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Our Privacy Policy, developed in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, outlines how we collect, use, disclose and protect your data when you visit our website or use our services. Collection of data and information from website visits
Collection of Personal Information
During your use of our website or interaction with our contact centre, DRM (and/or its subsidiaries) may collect personal information about you such as your name, contact details, creative asset data and any other information you may provide. We will also need to collect banking details and certain tax information in order for us to pay your royalties to you.
Collection of Non-Personal Information
DRM may gather generic information about visits to our website (page views, time on site, how you got to the site etc.) to understand how we can improve your experience. Other than the foregoing, information about a visit to DRM’s website is not permanently stored on a visitor or client’s personal computer.
How we collect information
We gather your data when you supply this to us voluntarily (e.g. when website visitors send emails, respond to client surveys, or use the ‘DRM Portal’ service on the website). We then use this information to ensure we fulfil your request/s.
We may also use both non-persistent and persistent cookies to manage your visit to our website. Non-persistent cookies are temporary and are deleted when a browser session is closed, whereas persistent cookies are used so that third party vendors, such as Google, can serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to the DRM website.

Sharing information
DRM will not sell or reveal information obtained about its visitors to anyone outside of DRM unless it is specifically authorised by the visitor, it is legally required to do so and or such disclosure is required to protect the safety of employees, visitors, clients, or property.

In providing our services to you, we may need to transfer your information overseas to third parties such as your manager and or record label. We take any disclosure of your information seriously and will use our best efforts to ensure the party being disclosed to is subject to the Privacy Act 2020 (“the Act”) or law of a similar effect; or we will have a reasonable belief the party being disclosed to is required to protect the information in the same way the Act requires.
Access to and correction of personal information
We will use all reasonable endeavours to keep your personal information accurate. You can request a copy of personal information we hold about you and ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. Some information (such as your email address) can be accessed or corrected through the ‘DRM Portal’. Otherwise, you can get in touch with us to make an access or correction request, this may require you to prove your identity before we provide you with any copies of your personal information
Unique Identifier
When using our ‘DRM client portal’ on our website we may assign you a unique identifier. This is a code generated specifically for you that will help us provide our services to you. We will take all reasonable steps to protect your unique identifier from misuse by verifying the identity of a client before assigning a unique identifier.
Use of email or mobile number for client communications
During your interactions with us via the website or contact centre, you can supply an email address which we will use to contact you about our service. DRM does not sell or rent email addresses to third-party organisations.
Client data transmitted across the public internet
DRM will always endeavour to protect your privacy when logging onto our website.
We use 256-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Encryption for all traffic interactions with the ‘DRM Portal’ service.
Due to the nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that your personal information will always be secure during transmission or from unauthorised access during storage. Despite our reasonable endeavours to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to us and all personal information you disclose to us is at your own risk.

Website security
We are committed to keeping your personal information secure and we will take all reasonable precautions to protect your personal information, the DRM website has layers of security to protect it against malicious, possible breaches of the system (‘cracking’) and unauthorised access to client data.
Communications you have with DRM (including but not limited to this website) may be subject to monitoring by us or authorised third parties for security purposes. Your data or logon information (user name and password) is not permanently stored on the website.
Google analytics
DRM may, at times, use services such as Google Analytics, which will issue cookies from their own servers and which will be able to track website visitors throughout DRM’s website, and through any other sites that use this service.
